Viewing Peer to Peer

When reviewing the P2P activity recorded by Spector Client (Client) within the Viewer, the following tools are available:
Search Peer to Peer This function works like a filter and allows you to search through all recorded Peer to Peer events to locate specific keywords and phrases. Only the recorded events that match the search criteria are displayed.
Advanced This function allows you to refine your search to locate keywords within specific dates and applications
Delete Clicking on this button allows you to delete the selected recorded Peer to Peer event
Settings Clicking on this button allows you determine how you want data to be recorded and reviewed. Click on this button and you will be presented with a list of optional settings
Help Clicking on this button provides you with helpful advice for troubleshooting or information on a particular topic. You will be shown a table of contents, from which you can click on the topic of interest and you will receive detailed instructions that should help you considerably
Within the Viewer, each line displayed will represent a Peer to Peer activity event. The following information is displayed in the columns of each line:
Program The program name of the Peer to Peer application
Date The Date and Time the Peer to Peer activity was recorded
Media The type of file that was downloaded or uploaded. The file types defined are:
Audio This is a music or sound file in a defined audio format like MP3, WAV, or AVI
Image This is a picture in a defined graphic format like JPG, GIF, or BMP
Video This is a movie defined by a video format like MPG or MOV
Software This is a program file defined by a software format like EXE
Document This is a document file format like DOC or TXT
Compressed This contains compressed files in a format like ZIP
Unknown The file media type is unknown
Type The type of Peer to Peer activity that was recorded. This can be a file search, file download, or file upload
String If the P2P activity is a search this will be the search criteria used. If the P2P activity is a download or upload, this will be the name of the file
Click on the column header to sort the Peer to Peer events in ascending or descending order according to the column selected.
