Managing Your Installation
It is possible to add a second Control Center to assist in managing and configuring Clients. This Control Center can access the same Data Vault as the first Control Center, or you can set it up to manage its own Data Vault. At any location, a Primary Server must be available to manage the Client licensing.

To install a Control Center:
Run the Spector CNE setup program.
Enter your serial number when prompted.
Clear the checkbox to install or reinstall All Components.
Select the Control Center for installation. A Viewer is automatically installed with the Control Center.
Click Continue.
When prompted, enter the name of the computer where the Primary Server is installed.
When prompted, enter the name of the computer where the Data Vault is installed.
When the installation is complete, acquire a list of computers to manage on this Control Center.
open the Control Center and select the Network Tab.
Under Startup Method, click Select and navigate to your current netconfig.xml or computer list file.
Open that file for this Control Center.
Depending on the Control Center user’s permission status, you may need to share and give appropriate permissions to the folder where the Data Vault files are stored.
This Control Center now has access to the same computers as the original Control Center. It communicates with the same Data Vault and Primary Server, and simply provides the means for a different user to manage Clients.
To install a Control Center with Data Vault:
Run the Spector CNE setup program.
Enter your serial number when prompted.
Clear the checkbox to install or reinstall All Components.
Select only the Control Center and the Data Vault for installation.
When prompted, enter the name of the computer where the Primary Server is installed.

If you are installing a Control Center with Data Vault at remote locations, you will need to install a Primary Server to manage the Clients at each location. Contact SpectorSoft to obtain a serial number with the correct number of Client licenses for each branch location. |
