Log file settings on the Advanced Security box

Each Client maintains a log of its own activity. The log can be useful for troubleshooting Client issues, and you can view any Client's log from the Control Center.

The Client log provides a date and time stamp with a brief description of each Client action. By default, only the minimum actions are logged to avoid a large log file and save space on the Client computer. You can disable the log file altogether or change the level of detail captured in the log file from the Client's Advanced Security Settings.  

To view the Client log file:  

  1. Select Configure Computers in the left pane.

  2. Select a computer in the right pane.

  3. Right-click, select All Tasks, and View Log File.

  4. The Log File is displayed in a Notepad window.  

You can also view the Client log file from a Viewer installed with the Client.
