You can access all recorded activities for a single user or computer from tabs at the top of the Viewer window. The Internet and Computer Activity tabs each provide a set of activities.

Internet Activity Tabs

Select Internet Activity to access events involving the Internet: Screen Snapshots, Chat or Instant Messaging (IM) Activity, Online Searches, Web Sites Visited, Email Activity, Files Transferred and Network Activity. The toolbar buttons and data displayed change for each activity tab.

Computer Activity Tabs

Select Computer Activity to access events from the Client computer: Screen Snapshots, Keystrokes Typed, Program Activity, Document Tracking, and User Activity.  The toolbar buttons and data displayed change for each activity tab.

Help and Settings

At the right end of the Activity tab bar, a Settings button appears if you are using the Viewer installed with the Client. The Settings button allows you to adjust the Client Settings for the particular computer you are viewing. The Help button at the far right opens this Viewer help to the appropriate topic for the activity you are viewing.

Parts of the Viewer

The Viewer provides menus, the activity tabs described above, a toolbar, plus an Events pane, Preview pane, and Status bar. Use the View menu to control how these elements are displayed.

Toolbar

As you're viewing data, the buttons on the toolbar below the tabs let you:

Events Pane

The Events pane shows recorded events either in a familiar Windows Explorer hierarchical tree interface for easy drill-down or as a list.

Preview Pane  

The lower pane allows you to preview event information. When a branch of an Events tree is selected upper pane, the lower pane provides the choice of viewing either a Summary or the Details for all events in the branch.  When an event is selected from an Events list in the upper pane, the lower pane displays the event Contents (of an email, chat or IM conversation, or keystrokes typed).

Status Bar

The Status bar at the very bottom of the Viewer window displays the date range and sum total information about the displayed events.  

Screen Snapshots Status Bar shows tagged status,
current snapshot number, and total snapshot count
