Administrator's Guide
You can access all recorded activities for a single user or computer from tabs at the top of the Viewer window. The Internet and Computer Activity tabs each provide a set of activities.
Select Internet Activity to access events involving the Internet: Screen Snapshots, Chat or Instant Messaging (IM) Activity, Online Searches, Web Sites Visited, Email Activity, Files Transferred and Network Activity. The toolbar buttons and data displayed change for each activity tab.

Select Computer Activity to access events from the Client computer: Screen Snapshots, Keystrokes Typed, Program Activity, Document Tracking, and User Activity. The toolbar buttons and data displayed change for each activity tab.

At the right end of the Activity tab bar, a Settings button appears if you are using the Viewer installed with the Client. The Settings button allows you to adjust the Client Settings for the particular computer you are viewing. The Help button at the far right opens this Viewer help to the appropriate topic for the activity you are viewing.
The Viewer provides menus, the activity tabs described above, a toolbar, plus an Events pane, Preview pane, and Status bar. Use the View menu to control how these elements are displayed.

As you're viewing data, the buttons on the toolbar below the tabs let you:
Jump to - Go to another view of the selected event: Screen Snapshots, Keystrokes Typed, or the Web Site URL displayed in a browser (depending on the type of activity).
Block Web Site - Prevent the user from accessing the currently selected Internet domain or domain pages. See Blocking Web Sites.
View - Select how you want to view Keystrokes Typed; by program execution or by window title. See Viewing Keystrokes Typed.
Search
- Find matches to terms you enter in the Search box within the current
activity type. For
example, find "Moon" in email messages. Click the green Go button to execute the search. Click
the down-arrow next to Go to open
a Search box where you can enter advanced search criteria. See Searching
for Keywords.

Refresh - Updates the display with new data that may have arrived, and allows you to select a different date range if the data you want to view is not currently shown. See Refreshing Data.
Delete All - Deletes all data for the currently selected branch or item in the Events pane. A confirmation message is displayed. See Deleting Data.
The Events pane shows recorded events either in a familiar Windows Explorer hierarchical tree interface for easy drill-down or as a list.
The Events tree is different for every activity but generally is arranged by Activity Type (all "Web Sites) > Date > Other Group.
The Events list is ordered by date initially. You can click on any column heading (such as "Window Title") to order records by that field.

The lower pane allows you to preview event information. When a branch of an Events tree is selected upper pane, the lower pane provides the choice of viewing either a Summary or the Details for all events in the branch. When an event is selected from an Events list in the upper pane, the lower pane displays the event Contents (of an email, chat or IM conversation, or keystrokes typed).
