Control Center Properties
|
This tab contains properties that are used by the Control Center to help protect the network against unauthorized Spector Client (Client) installs/uninstalls.
When attempting to remotely install or uninstall a Client, the Control Center may request a user name and password credentials from the Spector 360 administrator to validate the requested task. The Control Center always requires the entry of a network user name and password the first time a Client install/uninstall is performed.
Automatically supply credentials for each install/uninstall task - Check this option to temporarily store the credentials supplied in this Security Properties panel. This speeds up the install/uninstall tasks on multiple Client computers because you do not have to enter credentials for each computer.
Deselect this option to require the Administrator-level credentials for each Install / Uninstall activity.
Note: The automatically supplied credentials are stored as long as the Control Center is open. After closing the Control Center and then reopening, the password must be resupplied on the first install/uninstall task.
By default, a Spector 360 Control Center user has full access to Control Center functions. However, a situation may arise where you want one user to monitor the Control Center, the server components, and Client computer status without having access to configuring (changing) the Client Settings.
Enable Privileges for Domain Groups - Check this option to use pre-configured Domain-Level Groups to determine who has access to specific views (Manage Computers and Configure Computers) in the Control Center. Deselect this option to allow all authenticated.
See Enable Privileges for Domain Groups. When this item is enabled and 360 is being used in a Domain Network environment, Spector 360 will use its pre-configured Domain-Level Groups to determine who has access to specific views in the Control Center.
