Search within recorded events for a word, words or phrases.
The search defaults are:
partial word match
case insensitive
includes all dates
The search filters events so only the data that matches the search criteria is displayed.
Each tab allows you to search for a different text string and display the search results without effecting a search in the other event tabs.
Use the Advanced Search to change the default settings or use other criteria to narrow the search results. You can also narrow your search by adding more words to a basic search string.
Advanced Search criteria entered is maintained while you stay in the Viewer or you select new search criteria.
The search results will continued to be displayed until Close Search Results is clicked.

If searching Web Sites events and you switch to the Chat/IM tab, perform a search and then switch back to the Web Sites tab, the Web Sites search results continues to be displayed. |
All words entered must be found to detect a match.
A phrase is defined as a text string within quotes. The search will look for that specific sequence to match. If you enter hello there it will not match there hello or any other combination.
Quote marks must match or an invalid search string error message is displayed.
Double quote marks cancel each other. e.g. ""hello there"" treats the string as two empty phrases between the quote marks. The search will looks for the words hello and there in any order.
Phrases are space sensitive - hello there (single space) will not match hello there (double space).

Event Search |
Use Advanced Search crto create a specific search to narrow the returned search results.
If no data is loaded - If the Events Pane is empty (no data is loaded), the Search will not work.
Search for - Options are the same for all.
Search in - These options change for each of the Recording Tools allowing a search in specific data field.
Date selection - Narrow search by a specific date or date range.

Only the filtered search results are displayed.
Click Refresh to select different a different date range or reload events.
Click Close Search Results to return to viewing all events.
