Administrator's Guide |
The Viewer toolbar provides ease-of-use to navigate the Client's recorded events. To open the viewer, select Monitor Users in the Control Center and then double-click on a User in the right pane. The Menu items are described below. On the Toolbar, two main tabs organize Internet Activity recordings and Computer Activity recordings (Snapshots are available from either tab). Select a main tab, and then select the activity type under the tab.
Depending upon tab selected, there are different buttons or options displayed in the toolbar. (Screen Snapshots has its own toolbar.)

Standard buttons include:
Jump to - Available when an Event Summary item or Detail is selected from the bottom pane for most activity types. Click the button to display a pop-up menu that may include:
Snapshots - Go directly to Screen Snapshots for the date of the selected recording
Keystrokes - Go to Keystrokes recorded for date. For some activities, there are no recorded keystrokes recorded and a message appears.
Web Sites Visited - (Internet events) Go to Web Sites Visited for the event date.
Web Site in Browser - Display the URL recorded with the event in your default Web browser.
View - Available from Keystrokes Typed when an Event is selected. From the pop-up menu, choose to sort the listed Keystroke Events by Program Execution or by Program Window Title.
Search box - The viewer allows you to enter a search
term and find matches in the current
activity type. Search results
filter the events as the Viewer loads ALL records from ALL data files
in the current folder. Click the green Go
button to execute the search.

Click the arrow next to Go
to open a Search box where you can enter advanced search criteria, such
as case match, partial word match, search in a particular field, and so
on. The Search function is available
for all activity tabs except for Snapshots. See
Search Recorded Events.
Refresh - Updates the display with new data that may have arrived, and allows you to select a date range if not all data is currently shown. Refresh "grabs" files added to the data file folder after you opened the Viewer and load these into the Viewer. Refresh also displays the Refresh Data box, which displays the date range of available data in the folder and allows you to refresh the viewing data for a particular time period.

|
If no data is shown in the Viewer, you may need to use the Refresh option to change the date range to a period when data is available. You can also try re-open the user directory, using File and Open Directory. |
Delete / Delete All - Available when a single event or an item or folder is selected. Displays a confirmation message; and when you click Yes, deletes the selected event(s) from the Data Vault.
