The Client records many types of incoming and outgoing email. For some email types, Client can record file attachments. For each email, the following information is recorded:
type of email
whether it was being received or sent
whether it had an attachment
whether it was "flagged" or marked for heighten importance
the sender
the recipient
the subject
the date recorded
content of the email
To configure email to be recorded by Client from the computer, configure the Email settings when building the Client installation file with the Spector CNE Deployment Utility.
In addition, the Email settings can be changed on the Client after installation by selecting the computer within the Configure Computers View of the Control Center. Email settings can also be changed by selecting the Settings tab from within the Spector Viewer when reviewing recorded events.
To review email recorded on a computer, use the Monitor Computers View of the Control Center to select the computer to review. See Viewing Email for details on reviewing the recorded email.
