Screen Snapshots

Spector Client (Client) provides the ability to record a Snapshot of the monitored computer's screen on a periodic basis. A Snapshot is a graphic representation of exactly what the user is seeing on the computer's display. The Snapshots can then be individually reviewed or replayed like a VCR, providing a graphic representation of exactly what the computer's user was doing during a particular time. This graphic information is an excellent compliment to the detailed events provided with the other recording tools.

For each Snapshot event, the Client will record:

To configure Snapshots to be recorded on a monitored computer, configure the Snapshots settings when building the Client installation file with the Spector CNE Deployment Utility.

In addition, the Snapshots settings can be changed on the Client after installation by selecting the computer within the Configure Computers View of the Control Center or by selecting the Settings tab from within the Spector Viewer when reviewing recording for the Client.

To review Snapshot events recorded on a Client, use the Monitor Computers View of the Control Center to select the Client computer to review. See Viewing Snapshots for details on reviewing the recorded program windows.

Note  The ability of the Client to take a Snapshot is so efficient that the computer's user will NOT be slowed down by the Client in any way.
