After getting acquainted with how the Viewer works, it's time to begin recording.
To begin recording events:
Select File > Close on the menu bar or click the X in the upper right corner of the Viewer to close Spector Pro.
A message may appear asking if you want to resume recording. If you receive this message, select the appropriate button:
Click Yes to close the Viewer and continue recording activity.
Click No to close the Viewer without continuing to record activity.
Click Cancel to keep monitoring recorded activity on the Viewer.
If you do not receive this message, Spector Pro will NOT resume recording when you close it.
If Spector Pro is set to record, the program begins recording activity on all computers on which Spector Pro has been installed. Information is captured for all programs and users, 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, according to the settings.
A message may appear asking if you want to clear all references to SpectorSoft from your browser history and cache, and asking if you want to close Internet Explorer in order to do this. If you receive this message, select the appropriate button:
Click Yes to close Internet Explorer and clear all references to SpectorSoft.
Click No to leave the references.
NOTE: This feature can be adjusted on the View Settings window at any time. For further details on what information is cleared and how the feature works, see Clearing References from Internet Explorer.
You have completed the Using the Viewer
browse sequence. You are ready to View All Recordings.
