Are there any issues installing the Spector Client recorder to Windows 98 or Windows ME workstations?

Spector CNE was designed to work with Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP and Vista. There are installation considerations with using the Control Center to manage and install the Spector CNE Client recorder on a Windows 98 and Windows ME computer. Refer to the Spector CNE Help file under the Installation > Installation Requirements section as well as the Windows 9x/ME section of the online Spector CNE Knowledge Base.

We have Windows XP Home computers on our Workgroup network, can the Spector Client be installed?

Windows XP Home does not provide the remote network management capabilities required to perform an installation across a network. For this reason, the Spector Client can not be installed to a XP Home computer on the network from the Spector CNE Control Center management console. An installation of the Spector Client can be accomplished by simply running the Client install file from the XP Home computer itself. Once the install file has been executed on the XP Home computer, that client can be remotely managed and viewed from the CNE Control Center.
